VIRTUAL ESTATE PLANNING: "WILLS FROM HOME"

Simple, Convenient Estate Planning — Wherever You Are in Ontario

You can now do your Estate Planning from the comfort of your own home by Zoom or Teams.

You can even sign your documents in our virtual presence with at least one lawyer acting as a witness.

Il me ferait plaisir de vous aider en français. Les rencontres et les documents peuvent tous être complétées en français si vous préférez.

Planning your Will and Powers of Attorney doesn’t have to mean taking time off work, finding childcare, or travelling across town.

At Droit Ouimet-McPherson Law, we’ve designed a seamless virtual process so you can get your estate planning done from the comfort of your home — anywhere in Ontario.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Book Your Initial Meeting Online
Use our easy online booking tool to choose a time that works for you. If you have questions, we’re just a call or email away. Click here to get started.

  2. Receive Your Planning Package
Once booked, you’ll get an email with two helpful PDFs: one to gather key family and financial information, and the other with simple prompts to help you think about your wishes before we meet.

  3. Send Us Your Info
Complete the first PDF and return it by email or by secure link— this helps us make the most of our first meeting, and leave lots of time for questions and actual planning.

  4. Meet Virtually — or In Person
We’ll connect by Zoom or phone (or in person if you prefer) for a 60–90 minute conversation to walk through your goals, family dynamics, and instructions for your Will and Powers of Attorney. No pressure — we guide you every step of the way.

  5. Review Your Drafts
Two weeks later, you’ll receive your draft documents by email or secure link. Then we schedule a second Zoom call (or in-person meeting) to go over everything together.

  6. Sign from Home with Our Support
When you’re happy with the final version, we arrange a virtual signing session via Zoom or Teams. We act as your witnesses, making the process legally valid — and hassle-free.

  7. Wrap-Up and Records
After signing, you can drop off or mail us the originals. We’ll finalize everything and send you fully executed digital copies for your records.

✓ Clear guidance and no legal jargon
