Marc grew up in Ottawa and completed his Law degree (LL.B) at the University of Ottawa in the French common law program. Marc is fully bilingual and is pleased to offer all of his services in both official languages.
While in law school, Marc worked at the Federal Government and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. He completed summer internships and his articling at a large national firm, getting a broad experience of all aspects of the legal practice. Afterwards, Marc practiced at a well-respected firm in Orleans, and then in Rockland. In 2017, Marc decided to return to Ottawa to join a firm which was closer to home and family. On May 11th, 2020 (in the midst of the pandemic), Marc started his own firm (a dream of his) and Droit Ouimet-McPherson Law was born.
Marc focuses on Real Estate (residential and commercial), Business Law, Estates, and Estate Planning (Wills, Powers of Attorney) and everything related to properly planning your future including your virtual assets and cryptocurrency. Marc has taught at the Cité Collégiale and continues to give Pre-Retirement Estate Planning Courses to the Federal Public Service, RCMP and Military. He also provides Estate Planning presentations for different groups in the community.
Marc has appeared before numerous courts and tribunals, including the Ontario Small Claims Court, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice. He has also participated in alternative modes of dispute resolution, such as mediation and arbitration.
Outside of the office, Marc enjoys spending time with his wife and two young children, traveling and exploring his passion for food and wine in Canada and all over the world.
