Marc, a proud Ottawa native, holds an LL.B from the University of Ottawa, where he excelled in the French common law program. A master of both of Canada’s official languages, Marc offers his comprehensive legal services in English and French, catering to a diverse clientele.
His journey in law began during his studies, where he gained invaluable experience working with the Federal Government and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. Marc further honed his legal skills through summer internships and articling at a prominent national firm, where he gained extensive knowledge in various legal domains. Subsequently, Marc brought his expertise to reputable firms in Orleans and Rockland, before making the strategic decision in 2017 to move back to Ottawa, aligning his professional path more closely with his personal life.
In a bold move amid the 2020 pandemic, Marc realized his lifelong dream by founding Droit Ouimet-McPherson Law. His firm specializes in Real Estate (both residential and commercial), Business Law, Estates, and Estate Planning, including innovative areas like virtual assets and cryptocurrency.
Marc’s commitment to education and community service is evident through his teaching at Cité Collégiale and his ongoing presentations on Pre-Retirement Estate Planning for various groups, including the Federal Public Service, RCMP, and Military.
In the courtroom, Marc has represented clients in a range of legal settings, from the Ontario Small Claims Court to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and has engaged in alternative dispute resolutions like mediation and arbitration.
Away from his professional endeavors, Marc cherishes time with his wife and two children, indulges in travel, and pursues his culinary passions, exploring the world’s diverse food and wine cultures.
