Book into my calendar

Marc was born and raised in Ottawa — and has spent his career serving the community he calls home.

He holds an LL.B. from the University of Ottawa’s French common law program and practises with fluency in both official languages, offering clients the clarity and confidence of working with a lawyer who speaks their language — literally.

Marc’s legal foundation was built early. During his studies, he worked with the Federal Government and the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic, and went on to article at a prominent national firm, where he developed expertise across a broad range of practice areas. He later practised in Orléans and Rockland before returning to Ottawa in 2017 to plant deeper roots — professionally and personally.

In 2020, at the height of a global pandemic, Marc founded Droit Ouimet-McPherson Law. The timing was bold; the decision was deliberate. Today, the firm focuses on what matters most to Ottawa families, entrepreneurs, and property owners: residential and commercial real estate, business law, estates, and estate planning — including emerging areas such as virtual assets and cryptocurrency.

Beyond his practice, Marc teaches at Cité Collégiale and regularly delivers Pre-Retirement Estate Planning presentations to members of the Federal Public Service, the RCMP, and the Canadian Armed Forces. He has represented clients before the Ontario Small Claims Court and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and has guided many through mediation and arbitration.

Outside the office, Marc is a devoted father of two who finds equal joy in travel and at the table — always in pursuit of the next great meal or an interesting bottle of wine.
